Blog #2: Mango galette (Natsumi)

Last Saturday, I and my mother went a restaurant near my home to eat dinner then mango galette as dessert.

Agalette is a French dessert. It's round and baked thiner than a crape. Apart from a crepe, only one side baked. In many case, buckwheat is used. Originally, a galette had been cooked by many farmers in Bretagne. The ways we eat a galette are that we put cheese and salad on it as meal or put fresh cream, ice cream and some fruits on it as dessert. This introduces other kinds of galettes and how to make them.
This season is the best for mangoes. This is why I wanted to eat this galette. I like mangoes because of their vivid yellow and it's pulp is very beautiful and tender and very delicious. Besides, it smells sweet.
A mango is one of the most delicious three fruits of the world: others are mangosteen and cherimola. However, I've never eaten them.
Mangoes are cultivated in Japan, for example,Okinawa, Miyazaki, Kagoshima. And imports which are imported from Mexico, Philippine, Thai and Taiwan are many.

In addition to cut mangoes, cut bananas and fresh cream and vanilla ice cream and cornflakes were put on thi galette. Sause which was put on it tasted mango.

This dessert was very delicious and made me want to eat it again.

  3. Hello. This is Kanae. I did not know that a mango is one of the most delicious three fruits of the world until I read this blog. Though the name of mangosteen resembles a mango, are those related?

  5. Hi, this is Ms. MacGregor. I brushed up the first part of your blog and your title - see the red letters? Please know when to use "a", "the" or nothing at all.
I learned a lot from your blog - which do you prefer - crepes or galettes?
